Blacktown CBD Community Vision

In March 2023 we commenced a grassroots campaign including community workshops focusing on questions such as:

  • What should a future Blacktown CBD look like?
  • How will people of tomorrow use it?
  • Will we still have festivals and street parades?

Imagine a town square that allows stalls, parades, music, entertainment and is a family-friendly and safe place to live, work and play 24/7.

Are we happy with the Blacktown CBD of today?

Do we want to risk a Parramatta style CBD with large buildings set in rows?

I would like to see a Blacktown Centrum with a soul! Let’s work together to create a Blacktown Central Living District.

Our first forum was well attended and sparked great conversation.

Doonside Station Upgrade

SUCCESS

  • 10 year campaign championed by the local community

  • 11,000 petitions submitted and delivered to NSW Parliament demanding a lift and accessibility upgrades at the station

  • Announced in the 2020/21 NSW State Government Budget
